What is Steady?
Steady is an intermittent fasting coach app for iPhone, made by ChamsDel Online. It is a fasting timer plus a coach for the hard hours: it builds a plan from how your days go, predicts the hour you are most likely to quit, checks in just before it, and keeps every piece of your data on your phone.
How is Steady different from other intermittent fasting apps?
Most fasting apps are timers with content attached. Steady treats the hour you usually quit as the product. It predicts that hour from your own answers and check-ins, shows up just before it, offers a timed delay instead of a lecture, and quotes your own record back to you. It is also deliberately honest: it does not claim autophagy or ketosis at 16 hours, and it tells you to eat when what you describe sounds unsafe.
Which fasting windows does Steady support?
12 to 20 hours. Steady treats 12 as the floor, because that is roughly where the body turns from the last meal to its reserves, and suggests starting one step above what you already do overnight. Common choices are 14:10 and 16:8.
Is Steady medical advice?
No. Steady is not a medical device, does not diagnose or treat anything, and cannot measure anything about your body. The coach is instructed never to interpret symptoms or explain medication. If you feel unwell during a fast, stop and eat.
Is Steady safe if I take diabetes medication?
Talk to your doctor first. Steady asks about medication during setup because insulin, sulfonylureas and SGLT2 inhibitors change the risk of a long fast, and it adjusts its coaching and keeps a permanent low-blood-sugar warning visible. It is not a substitute for medical advice, and your specific medication answer never leaves your phone.
Does Steady need an account?
No. There is no account, no sign-in, no email address and no password. Payment is handled by Apple, and subscription status is checked through an anonymous identifier.
Where is my data stored?
On your iPhone, in a local database. Nothing is synced or backed up by us. Deleting the app deletes everything.
What is sent to the server when I use the coach?
The state of the current fast, your reasons and goal from setup, mood check-ins from the current fast, a summary of your history, the last few turns of the conversation, and your message. The server has no database and does not log message content. It receives only a yes-or-no risk flag about medication, never which medication.
Which AI does the coach use?
Claude, made by Anthropic, running behind a small server operated by ChamsDel Online. Anthropic's API terms do not permit training on that data.
How much does Steady cost?
Steady is a paid subscription. Pricing is announced at launch and shown on the paywall after setup, so the offer is for the plan you just built rather than a cold feature list. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled through Apple.
When does Steady launch?
Steady is coming soon to the App Store. Leave your email through the Notify me button and we will tell you when it is live.
Is Steady available on Android?
Not yet. Steady is an iPhone app. Android is not scheduled.
Does Steady have a widget or Live Activity?
Yes. The running fast shows on the Lock Screen as a Live Activity and on the Home Screen as a widget, using a store shared only between Steady and its own widget on your phone.
Does Steady send notifications?
Yes, and all of them are scheduled on the device. There is no push server. Check-in and milestone notifications can be switched off in Settings.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. There is no copy anywhere else.
How do I get support?
Email support@chamsdel.online, or use the form at steadyfasting.app/support, which opens your own email app with the details filled in.
